Considering how Jhonen’s lightened up over the last few 20 years, had Invader Zim been made past the 2010’s, this definitely would’ve been in the show. Though I love IZ for its angsty, no-affection setting, I also think if it had been much lighter (like how it was in the movie) it’d still be positively received. And speaking on the video itself, if this was actually in the show, this would’ve DEFINITELY confirmed Zim having actual feelings for Tak were more than just “learning about human affection”. After all, he is canonically a defective Irken, that alone grows that idea. Though I’ll elaborate, Jhonen doesn’t like ZATR and personally I dislike it too. But I don’t despise it

I think the reason this was cut might've been because romance doesn't exist on Irk, earth is unfamiliar to Irkens, and the whole point of Zim trying to date Tak was to learn about human affection, so how would Zim know to make a romantic gesture like kneeling and kissing a girl's hand?

The opening theme vividly reminds me of a beautiful cinematic composition of the intro. A rat skittering through sewers, hearing gunshots, then shortly to arrive at the scene of a fully armored soldier crawling back in fear from a mutated monster that was about to stab it's claws from overgrown arm into him. Then as if poetically becoming the basic components of universe, the rats come in and devour him, with transition into cells that gather around a bigger cell that's membrane is about to collapse and explode delicious nutrients into environment to feed on. It's eerie, it's beautiful, somehow fundamental too.

This sounds like Invader Zim: Enter The Floorpuss was supposed to be a horror movie.

Hmm. Ngl, the ost is pretty sick. I can easily imagine a serbian company making a horror game, kinda in the vein of Outlast (with some gore, shlock, etc) and/or Silent Hill (take that with a grain of salt if you will, but i find the ending scene of Serbian Film pretty depressing). Like, the template is there, aka this movie. No matter how shock factor'esque it is, in it's initial purpose. In fact, the way the tracks are named remind me of horror game soundtrack, it's fun 👀✨️
